Career Education Society History
In the early years CES (formerly SPACE) directors were representatives from the lower mainland and Victoria. On an ad-hoc basis, directors were recruited from other parts of the province. Recognizing the need for a provincial organization to support and promote career education, SPACE directors revised the constitution in 1992 to include elected representatives from each region of BC. Nine regional directors were appointed. Then, in 1995, provincial representation expanded to eleven directors, plus one director from private business. Today, the CES Career Education Society has nine Regional Directors, an elected Executive Committee and an Executive Director.
